We are proud to announce the launch of the "Embracing Innovation in Government: Global Trends 2018" report in partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The report is the result of an extensive global innovation review that included a worldwide crowdsourcing initiative called the "Call for Innovations," and we are thrilled with the response we received from innovative teams around the world. The report contains in-depth case studies on 10 innovative initiatives that demonstrate the key trends identified through the review.
The report showcases how governments are building the infrastructure needed for more impactful systems-wide transformation while considering all citizens and residents affected by government and working to build a more inclusive society that better establishes a baseline for wellbeing for all people. Specifically, the report identifies three trends: building digital identity solutions, embracing systems approaches and enablers, and fostering better conditions for inclusiveness and vulnerable populations. The report provides recommendations to help governments unlock innovation and serves as a forum for shared lessons and insights into the practice of innovation in government.
Our mission at MBRCGI is to serve as a platform for shared lessons and insights into the practice of innovation in government. We believe that by being armed with information on what other governments are doing, public sector innovators can learn from the successes and lessons learned from others and determine whether such approaches could work in their own context. By conducting this review in partnership with the OECD, we have been able to bring together a growing community of innovators to share novel thinking and initiatives to help governments at all levels move forward together. This helps us to give countries critical, practice-led advice on public sector innovation, and we are excited to see the impact of the report in the years to come.
