The Potential Students at Risk AI initiative at HCT is a groundbreaking project designed to enhance student success by utilizing advanced artificial intelligence to proactively identify students at risk of academic failure. This strategic approach allows for early intervention through targeted support mechanisms such as tutoring and counseling, fundamentally transforming the academic support system from reactive to proactive.
By automating the detection of at-risk students using AI analysis of data points like grades and attendance, the project not only improves the efficiency and effectiveness of academic support but also significantly enhances student outcomes and satisfaction. Currently in the procurement phase with a successful proof of concept completed, the project is focused on selecting the right vendor to implement this transformative technology. The initiative is set to not only improve graduation rates but also optimize resource use and reduce financial costs associated with student retention challenges at HCT. With plans for future scalability and continuous improvement, this AI-driven project is poised to set a new standard in educational support and student management.
