Unveiling the Path to Government Innovation: The Hackathon Manual Launch Event

In our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and the exchange of ideas within government entities, the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) co-launch the 'How to Hack your Government' manual brought to you by Ibtekr. This guidebook aims to facilitate competitive hackathons, which attract experts and talents, and contribute to enhancing their capabilities, especially in creating innovative solutions and launching new programs.

The UAE is one of the leading countries for organizing and hosting hackathons. Over the past two years, it hosted about 35 percent of the world's hackathons, including thousands of competitions.

The manual outlines how government entities can benefit from launching their hackathons. The benefits include providing an opportunity to acquire new skills, gain a broader perspective, and find alternative and tangible solutions to challenges within a controlled environment.

Access to a Unique Resource

It provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to understand the process of organizing and hosting successful hackathons. It's a valuable resource for those within governmental entities who aim to foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving within their departments.

Networking Opportunities

Participants at this event are presented with a unique chance to connect with like-minded professionals from both the public and private sectors.

Fostering Innovation in Government Sector
