Project

BCM 10x

BCM 10x is a strategic initiative designed to elevate Business Continuity Management (BCM) in Abu Dhabi, aiming to position the region as a global leader in BCM practices. Leveraging the National Standard of Business Continuity NCEMA7000:2021, the project audits and enhances BCM awareness across various sectors including government, semi-government, and private entities. It consists of ten targeted initiatives or 'Xs', each crafted to boost the resilience and efficiency of BCM practices in line with national and international standards.

Before the implementation of BCM 10x, BCM practices were disparate. Now, BCM 10x has streamlined these processes and this enhancement significantly bolsters the decision-making capabilities of government committees.

The project has already successfully launched its first initiative, assessing BCM maturity across 93 entities, with further initiatives planned to deepen BCM integration and optimization. Despite challenges in stakeholder coordination, continuous engagement has kept the project aligned with its goals. BCM 10x has not only received positive stakeholder feedback but also recognition for its innovative approach, including suggestions to register for international intellectual property. This initiative represents a significant advancement in Abu Dhabi’s approach to business continuity, with plans for future scalability and continuous improvement ensuring its relevance and efficacy in enhancing the UAE's BCM capabilities.
